| A Connecticut Family Law Firm Fighting for Fairness in Family Law
When we undertake to represent men in family law matters, our work is guided by some basic philosophical beliefs.
- We believe that fathers have more value to their children than just being weekend pay-pals.
- We believe that it is in the best interests of children to enjoy equal shared parenting time and that fathers should not be pounded into submission to accept less.
- We believe that divorced spouses have the obligation to support themselves individually and to support their children equally.
- We believe that equitable distribution of assets in divorce must be equity-driven, not victim-driven.
- We believe that state child protection and social services agencies should not be partial to women simply because it’s the politically safe alternative.
- We believe that the abused husband is this country’s dirty little secret.
- We believe that paternity fraud has no place in the judicial system.
- And we believe that abuse and violence has no place in the family – and that abuse of family violence laws has no place in the courts.
We strive to break through hypocrisy by following three principles of practice: preparation, preparation, and preparation.
1. Preparation: If you see a family law action coming over the horizon, now is the time to call us. Your have the best chance of a fair outcome when you prepare BEFORE she does. If she’s beat you to the punch by serving papers, now is the time to immediately call us.
2. Preparation: The best defense is a good offense and the only way to unmask the charade of victim-hood, helplessness and entitlement is to take the time needed to prepare an effective defense of your vital interests.
3. Preparation: We recognize that settlement is often a less expensive and emotionally scarring solution than a trial. But if fair settlement terms are not forthcoming, trial is the best recourse. We don’t take cases with the intent of just settling out; we prepare for trial, and in fact, we welcome the opportunity to hold her accountable for false or exaggerated claims.
As a men’s rights law firm, we work to eliminate gender discrimination in family law. We tenaciously defend the civil rights of fathers and husbands – day in and day out. |
